Payload is the number most buyers ignore
Accessories consume payload quickly. A steel bull bar, canopy, drawers, dual battery system, tow bar and a full tank can absorb several hundred kilograms before any load or passengers.
Check the gross vehicle mass and remaining payload against how the vehicle will genuinely be used, particularly if it will tow while loaded.
Towing claims and real capability
Maximum braked towing figures are quoted at ideal conditions. Gross combination mass is the constraint that bites in practice, because it limits what you can carry while towing at capacity.
For regular heavy towing, engine torque, cooling capacity and gearing matter more than the headline number.
Fit out before delivery
Trays, canopies, racking, tow bars and safety equipment are cheaper and faster when coordinated before delivery, and the vehicle enters service immediately rather than being taken off the road again.
